Re: Post your battery life on the EVO 3D here
Hopefully we'll see some info now that people are getting them. I"m really curious if engadget was right in dismissing the battery life on the EVO 3D.

Re: Post your battery life on the EVO 3D here
Here is my battery life with the new EVO 3D:
1 Post if you have 4G turned on or off <OFF> 2 post if you have wifi turned on or off <OFF> 3 use BT all day long or not - (not necessarily on the phone but have your headset ready at all times and bt enabled on your phone). <BT on all day> 4 How much time you spent on the phone <Made 3 calls today for about 10 minutes total> 5 How much you browsed the web <None today> 6 How much time you used it for gaming. <None> 7 Your average number of bars for signal strength. <3+ bars signal average> 8 Have email set for push - how many accounts. <None at this time> With that little going on, my battery was yellow by 6PM and I didn't unplug it this morning until after 10AM. So about 8 hours of non-use and the battery was almost dead. I'm NOT impressed. Oh, I did take three 3D pictures. I guess that must have worn it out today. Mike |

Re: Post your battery life on the EVO 3D here
1. 4G - off
2. wifi - off 3. BT - off (only use BT when driving in my dumptruck at work and haven't used it yet.) 4. 3 phone calls for total of 30 minutes and about 20 texts 5. 1 hour total web usage (surfing) and 4 downloads 6. No gaming 7. 3+ bars signal average 8. No push email I charged it all night (while off), unpluged it then plugged it back in. It actually charged for another 30 minutes. Took it off charger at 9 am saturday morning and I'm just now charging it (while off) at 10 am sunday morning. I say I'm getting decent batt life outta this thing! Here's a tip: Go into sync and accounts and turn off auto sync for HTC hub and HTC Sense. These seem to keep the phone active and so far there has been no repercussions turning them off.

Quote:
1. 4G - off 2. wifi - on (manually cut off when I know I'll be out of wifi range for extended periods) 3. BT - on/off manually toggle when using headset/connecting to surround sound in home and connecting to car 4. a few short phone calls and lotsof text idk at least 50-100 5. 1-3 hours web surfing through out the day 6. No gaming 7. 3+ bars signal average 8. 3 gmail accounts Saturday I amazingly got 12hrs until hitting 14% that was with moderate use and that's pretty good compared to my OG Evo. Today and yesterday I'm getting less stellar performance draining approx 10%/hour wit little use besides texting and light web browsing. My performance seems irregular and probably wont normalize until i'm back on a regular schedule. I haven't performed any of the OTA's either. I was wondering how much that makes a difference in battery life. We should include OTA (and which ones) or no OTA in our posts. I swear it seems like my phone is not sleeping correctly right now. Anyone else noticing this (uptime vs awake time)? Wonder if the OTA's address this at all?

Are you guys using auto brightness? I'm trying to extend my battery life, I can barely get 8 hours out of this thing!

Re: Post your battery life on the EVO 3D here
i've hit about 14 hours with pretty good use.
I've tried out juice defender, it seems to helped out a little bit. Yesterday I had it on, phone last all day at work no problem I took it off that night and today my phone got done to 30% when I came home. |

Re: Post your battery life on the EVO 3D here
So just came back after a 15 hour shift at a place where there is NO voice/data signal (well maybe get 1/2 bar or so if I stand near a window which there aren't many). I still have 1/2 the battery left. Couple of things I did:
** Kept 4g AND 3g data off while in the buildling. Connected to the local wifi in the building to use data and groove ip for voice (and ?text). Worked well. Usage was about medium (i.e. wasn't on the phone the entire time, but did get on and off for various apps, web surfing, etc. |
