the processor isn't the only spec bump, 1gb of ram, qhd screen (still 4.3" inches but now in a 16:9 aspect ratio), ect. people keep saying 3d is gimmicky but i've played with my roommates 3ds and its pretty awesome. even if you don't use it everyday 3d games and movies will be fun every now and then. + the 3d camera will come in hands pretty soon, i bet 3d everything is gunna boom just like hd did. o the bragging rights

You really think the Nintendo 3DS's 3D effects are awesome? I tried one and for me it was just too much of a hassle to keep it at the exact angle that the 3DS requires. Just a little tilt and you loose the effect. Plus it didn't really look three dimensional anyway but looked more like two flat images, one a little closer overlaying the other in the background. Unspectacular to say the least! I hope the EVO 3D's three dimensional effects are better.

I've heard the angles on the 3d are better, and i know what u mean about the 2 images. but it does look really good if you get it zoned in the right distance from your face (w/ the stupid slider). we should make an app that uses the front camera to track your head and auto adjust. that would be nice (who knows if we'll need it. gotta get an evo 3d in my hands first!)

Re: The official "when's it coming out?" thread

My predictions: June 3rd for $199.99, $499.99 without contract.

The current EVO was $199.99, $449.99, Epic was $249.99, $549.99. I can see it sliding right into the middle so it has a ridiculous amount of demand. Sprint's going to be releasing another world-burning phone, guys. At $249.99, they'll probably sell just a little bit better than the Epic. People have been conditioned that smart phones cost $199.99 with a two year contract. Thunderbolt would be more popular if it was $199.99 as well.

Re: The official "when's it coming out?" thread

It looks like HTC may be releasing a version of the phone for Europe dubbed HTC Rider. So our european friends might not be too far behind. Also since this would be a GSM phone, ATT/T-mobile might get a version soon too. HTC Rider Spotted in the Wild; European Version of HTC EVO 3D?

Re: The official "when's it coming out?" thread

It cant be that 3D and Evo 4g cost $200 with 2 yr contract.

I wonder if Sprint is going to keep the Evo 4g after the 3D comes out.

I am set to get this 3D when it comes out, if I can get it at a reasonable cost. My first Android.
