Re: [How to] Guide to S-off, Recovery & ROOT

Hi OMJ,
I am stuck at the S-off install step.
The revolutionary.exe runs fine.
It finds my device and beta key is accepted.
I get a message like this:
Beta Key Accepted-Thanks for participating.
Zerging root....this might take a minute or so..

But nothing happens after that. I have waited for an hour...no booting of my device as you have mentioned.
Please help

The program hangs when “waiting for the system to settle.” -OR- the program says “Communications with phone unexpectedly interrupted.”
Uninstall any programs that may connect to the phone over USB and automatically sync. Specifically, we have had interference from HTC Sync and Doubletwist in the past; other programs may also cause trouble. Try reinstalling the drivers, if all else fails (or use Linux, which has a 99% less sucky USB stack).

Re: [How to] Guide to S-off, Recovery & ROOT

Uh... I can't even get into bootloader. What's up?

I guess I need to unlock the bootloader first... anyone know how to backup everything before unlocking?
Got into bootloader, wtf says bootloader is 1.50
That's not on the list for revolution

Re: [How to] Guide to S-off, Recovery & ROOT

I've tried this numerous times and each time after loading recovery from from the fastboot (I've tried every method I've found), no matter what, immediately after the reboot I've got a phone icon with a green power circle on it in the middle of the screen and it then changes to the phone icon with the red warning triangle with explanation point in the middle of the screen. Nothing more happens unless I pull the battery and then it reboots normally. Bootloader shows S-off, though when I did the S-off I did get the "communications with phone unexpectedly interrupted" error. Bootloader though shows S-off. How do I get past this red triangle warning screen? Thanks.

Re: [How to] Guide to S-off, Recovery & ROOT

I have tried doing it with the recovery (renamed without ZIP extension) on the SD card. I've tried it using fastboot from command prompt with the recovery.img file. Everything gives the same results.

I suspect it has to do with when I did the S-off and I got the "communications with phone unexpectedly interrupted" error even though Bootloader though shows S-off. Something must be wrong there that it didn't properly complete.
