I stay up to date just to stay up to date. You may have no issue now but applied fixes exist for a reason. You may have the issue later on so I would do it.

I don't remember ever updating amon_ra with the og evo. Wondering now if I was supposed to? Lol. Oh well. |

OMJ, your instruction looks simple and straight forward.
Why on the XDA forum the instruction are soo complicated? Should I follow your instructions ?? I am going to root my 3D this weekend.

So i flashed my evo 3d for the first time with s off recovery and root and it's working great! Was actually really easy. I was really nervous to do it at first (which is surprising because i flashed the hell out of my touch pro and touch pro 2) but i guess i didn't wanna risk screwing up since im not familar with android. I ran into a few issues but i fixed them and it's incredible. I'm thinking about flashing a new rom now.
