[How to] Guide to S-off, Recovery & ROOT

I'm trying this right now but am stuck at the "goo-inside.me" site I'm trying to download the needed su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip file but it just counts down from 10-0 and starts back over and repeats. The file isn't downloading. Is there a problem with the site? Also when it never prompted me to run or down load clockwork at one of the earlier steps. Any help would be great..Thanks..!!

Thanks for the help Karl, so now I have S off and now rooted awsome...!! Now I'm trying to get the wireless tether from Muller on the market working since it will work with both 3g and 4g. I read up about having to check a box on the "routing fix" on the wifi tether_v3_1-beta4.apk. Question is how do I download it and install it and should I download the newer version instead which is beta 6? Thanks in advance...!!

Just download the current version from here.. and to install it you use a file manager like astro to find it in your download folder click on it and install

I followed this guide on rooted my EVO3D and flashed Viper ROM and the phone keeps rebooting.

Here's what the phone says:
SHOOTER xc SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.50.0000
eMMC-boot

I have access to clockwork recovery through the screen. Can someone please advise on what I should do next. I don't want to screw up this phone any further. Thanks.

which guide did you specifically follow?....my guide is for hboot 1.30 & 1.40 only...

For hboot 1.50, follow this guide:

I followed the HTC Unlocker the 2nd link. I've had this phone sitting for over a year now and I wanted to stop using my 4g; so I followed the guide and did an update OTA (i didn't activate the phone just in case something goes wrong), and then followed the methods to unlocking and rooting the phone. Now when I load the Viper rom it just keeps rebooting. Is there a rom I can use that would just get the phone to work?
