When he says OTA, he is referring to the 2.17 OTA. It appears he has a version of 4.0.3 that was based on 2.08, and this one which is based on the new OTA.

flashing this mod will cause you to lose all the colored icons I added, along w/ the battery icons I use.

I'm going to keep Leedroid Tweaks on my phone, but I'll be modifying the appropriate files to get my icons back

one thing I noticed is I'm now getting FC's for HTC Music....not sure why, no big deal to me, I just use Google Music

Since the only thing off the top of my head I'm after out of this Tweaks file is the ability to wake the phone with the volume keys, would that be something that could be removed from the Tweaks file easily? If so I might only want that in case the entire Tweaks file has too many options that could cause problems with the ROM.

Flashed my phone last night thinking all was well and the phone is stuck in reboot Ive flashed over 20 time the same way and this has never happend... now im at work pissed without a phone

Well you could try to install just the TweaksCDMA.apk.

I decompiled TweaksCDMA.apk, and I think I found the code in the smali to wake the phone w/ the volume keys, and it appears to be making the code change in Settings.apk, but I don't know java for shit to know what exactly it is doing.

I have activated the wake feature, I suppose I could extract my Settings.apk, and let u push it to see if it works.....

can u be more specific? which ROM did u flash? did you wipe everything? will it boot, or is it stuck in a bootloop?

so I modded android.policy.jar from my ROM, but I saw no change. I even activated the feature via Leedroid, pulled the changed android.policy.jar, deactivated via Leedroid, then pushed the changed android.policy.jar, but I still see no change. It may be because I have Leedroid installed, I dunno, but the above thread seems to be correct that the mod works.

If you would like to try pushing this modded android.policy.jar, give it a try. You have to unzip it first.

Well I'm not entierly sure. It was just a guess.
But if your Rom is beats capable then perhaps tweaks isn't.
Last time I checked, tweaks.depends on services.jar and androidpolicy.jar correct?

If memory serves the last time I opened beats it too used the above files.

And to the best of my knowledge beats only works through HTC music Apk...
So that's my guess

I tried upgrading 2.4 to 2.7 on my sprint evo 3D, and it is looping on the sprint logo. maybe every 10 reboots itll get into the IS and youll see the background, but the second you do see the OS it freezes and reboots. I flashed back to 2.4 and its fine. I then tried flashing to 2.5, and had no problems, im now on 2.5. But if i try to flash to 2.7, the same situation occurs, and it just reboots continuously, and i have to flash back to 2.5 to get back up and running.

not that this would cause your issue, but have you updated your radios for a 2.17 based ROM?

maybe it was a corrupt download.....which recovery are u using to flash?

I had issues with 2.7 and ghost reboots that only stopped when I returned to 2.5. I also noticed they kept rebooting when I had the new radios even with 2.5. Once I downgraded back to the old radio, no more reboots.

I wonder if the new 2.7 with Freeza's kernel will work for me without reboots if I use the old radios. I noticed that flipz was not recommending the new radios with his Fressh ROM based on 2.17 because people were reporting ghost reboots
