HTC is fully unlocking the phopne now for use with custom recovery. You can go that route. People have had good luck with it. I HAVE NOT TRIED IT so I cannot confirm it works with all recoveries but I heard that it works with CWM..... So I am just throwing this out there...

cool, thx....my house is not is 4g but I'll be in 4g area later & will test.

btw...I don't think hotspot works for 4g, u have to use wifi tether.
