Re: [ROM] OMJ's HTC EVO 3D Custom ROMs | 1.13652.1 ICS!!! | 4.0.3 | Updated *5/17/12*

Alright, I'm lost. Been at this for 2.5 hours and am stuck.
First time I've tried doing custom on Android.

I followed these instructions: [GUIDE]Root Evo 3D!|Win/Mac/Linux|VIDEO WALKTHRU|HTC Unlock Method|9/7/2011 - xda-developers
because I have Hboot 1.5 and got it unlocked and running Revolutionary.
I used the install zip from sdcard and installed the newest OMJ Rom.
It says done and enjoy but when the phone reboots, it gets to the HTC splash screen and stops.

Any help and ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Re: [ROM] OMJ's HTC EVO 3D Custom ROMs | 1.13652.1 ICS!!! | 4.0.3 | Updated *5/17/12*

To better explain, here's a couple screen shots:
One is of calender where I would go to Event and then where I would click person's address (you can see little compass symbol)

The next shot is when you do click on address. On previous versions, I would be taken to Google Maps, which I could then go into Navigation if wanted. Now, it brings me to this POS program which does not work nor navigate you or give directions that work.

Please help!!

Here's what you do:
put your phone in fastboot connect to pc and from cmd run the following below(please note I have my directory on my c: drive)
fastboot boot cwm-4.0.1.4-shooter.img
then install zip from sdcard...

Have you tried going to settings>applications then find that pos navigator and hit the clear default?

This may be related to the changes made by htc in attempt to bypass this bs patent that's blocking the Evo 4G LTE. I'm not sure but try going into settings from the home screen, then app associations. There you can select your default map app. It's possible yours is set to something weird. Select Google Maps. If that's not it idk

I love that they added this app associations menu. It's so much more convenient and user friendly than having to find the app and clear its defaults.

it would work, but you'll be missing apps, and also have duplicate apps

ok, well this is due to "locations" that Amikam added....not sure if it was a stock app.....I went into app association & made sure it was set to google maps, but it still went to locations....I'll have to look into this

the easy solution would be to remove the locations app

keep in mind u would need to have cwm-4.0.1.4-shooter.img in the same folder as your adb.exe

Rosie change for apps in 5/17 rom, and I did change to 5 column, but, is there a way to get 4x3 on home screen with it? Thanks!

Love the new ROM!

got that done, may have been using Apply instead of Install, not really sure anymore, it was 2 in the morning.

Anyway, it installed and will boot, I get the ICS screen saying its updating android and optimizing applications, it finishes and then the phone reboots itself, once or twice it got to the home screen and then rebooted but for the most part, it stops after "updating"
