Think what he is saying is do you have to do a full wipe or half wipe... Always do a full wipe..

Sorry, yes it was confusing... I don't know what was I thinking... anyway, I just wanted to know if 2.6 wiped data, and you answered it.

Thank you!

BTW, I already run the update and it works great!

How did you flash? Did you wipe and flash? Using adb to fastboot boot recovery.img and wipe and flash the rom?

You only have to do that if your hboot 1.5..
Broken Wifi and 4G among other issues are from the kerenl not getting flashed right...

I don't think I understand the process with 1.5 can I not just hold down the volume down and boot in to recovery that way?

On hboot 1.5 if you wipe and flash the rom... The kernel AKA boot.img won't flash so you will have borked wifi and 4g and other issues...

To get around this ... You can use a computer and use adb to fastboot boot recovery.img this gives you full rights to write the rom and boot at the same time like a normal flash... You can't just flash a rom since we are S-ON without using adb
Unless^^)

If you don't have a computer you will need a app called Flash gui... You will need to download it run it and find the boot.img in the rom zip on your sd card with it... Once selected it will ask to wipe cache and davlik cache. Click yes it will flash the kernel and your phone will reboot and when your back into the rom... Everything should be working.....

Well I have a computer and I have TWRP recovery installed. I can boot into fast boot using adb and then use bootloader to get to recovery which brings me in to the TWRP recovery menu

Plus I've been able to revert my phone back to stock and then load the last OMJ rom but the new one just makes my device power cycle
