How do I disable the sound it makes when I unlock the screen?

Also after I flashed this ROM and logged in to my google account my phone started trying to reinstall all my apps but failed for most of them. I don't want it to restore those since titanium backup will do a better job cause it restores the application settings too. How do I disable this feature?

I've never looked, was the option there on 1.13? if so, maybe they took it away on 2.08. I did hear the camera was updated in 2.08....I also recall seeing a thread w/ a mod to disable, but I'll have to find....

Is the HTC rooting method a bad method? Why is it different than the root method from a month ago or so?
why even take the chance? if you're rooted not & plan to root (if u can) after the OTA, just play it safe & flash a 2.08 custom ROM.

if u unlock via HTC, they have u, and your warranty is compromised. maybe that doesnt matter, but I see no point in using HTC.

menu/settings/sounds/screen lock sounds...it's not on by default...

I'm not sure how to disable the auto market restore.

Should I install the hboot 1.5 update? I have to redo the custom recovery because I messed up and installed ROM Manager. For some reason RA Recovery v2.3 is not working. Phone just locks up at the HTC screen.

no, I would definitely NOT install the 1.50 hboot....RA? does he have a recovery for the 3D?

just copy the twrp recovery to sd card & boot into bootloader to install.

I got the twrp recovery working and now I'm doing the firmware update which includes all radios minus the hboot.

I want to stay Stock for a while and see how things go. I did do a Dalvik and cache clean twice just in case.

Firmware just got updated on my phone and it's rebooting now......waiting......waiting..... waiting some more....

The phone reboot but the FIRMWARE update to 2.08.651.2 never took. i'm still on 1.13.651.7. Everything looked good... I wonder why it didn't take??? Now I'm really confused....


2nd TRY... This time I Check the FASTBOOT option.. I'm hoping thats what I was missing... Everything appears to install all Zips are OK from the PG86IMG.ZIP file. NOPE... Still nothing.. I'm not sure what is going on but it's not taking the FIRMWARE update. Nothing is updating. I'm flashing via the bootloader using the PG86IMG.ZIP file. It all says OK on the installs but when it reboots nothing is updated. Everything remains the same.

the firmware does not update the OS, it's to update the radios, etc.

if u want a stock rooted 2.08, flash Haus':
