I think maybe I get where you're coming from now... What is the resolution of the picture that you're trying to use? Somebody correct me if my numbers are wrong, but if I remember correctly, ideally you'll want a picture that's 960x800. Anything much lower than that and you will see distortion.

640 x 445 or 480 x 800 the thing is, most of the pictures I have are all this size

No real options if the image is smaller than 960x800 like RdBrd83 said. Just use the portion it wants you to use, or find a larger image to suite. There are some great wallpapers sites out there. Not sure if yours is custom image or not but if you tell me what the image is maybe I can help find a replacement for it.

Usually the pictures I find are of just cool stuff I like...I.e. the superman logo (because everyone knows superman pwns batman), cars, boats, and any digital pictures that I just think are cool.
