Linsys wrt610 WIFI ISSUE

The issue that I am having is that if I turn off SSID broadcast on my router, the phone can not connect to the wifi. If SSID broadcast is turned on there is no problem. Someone please help with this issue.

I think you already figured it out. Leave your SSID broadcast on. As long as you are using WPA2 encryption you don't need to worry. It's actually pretty easy to locate hidden ssids anyway so it doesn't make you more secure.

+1
I'd have to agree with this 100%.
It's really easy to find hidden ssids.

Either that or get rid of your linksys. :P
(Jk, although I have an Asus g router, and with a little bit of hacking it's just as fast as my friend's linksys n router).

Re: Linsys wrt610 WIFI ISSUE

How about using the "Add Wi-Fi Network" and the end of all the listed Wi-Fi networks. You enter the SSID and password.

Re: Linsys wrt610 WIFI ISSUE

I can confirm I am having the same problem with my WRT-600N, no SSID broadcast, no network present.
