I feel the same way about my Imagio , but now it just seems so slow haha.
The stock browser on the Incredible is faster than my laptop w/w7.

I would like to know as well. I currently have a xv6900 and reception in my home is almost nil, and considering that my wife has a verizon phone as well, and she has good reception, I have been disapointed with my xv6900 for almost 2 years now. I am hoping the store has an incredible this afternoon, they said they would put one aside for me. The only deal breaker for me would be reception, and I am concerned. I am hoping that my reception issue was due to the xv6900. What is funny is that I can use the data connection with almost no problem. Anyway, I'll know in about 12 hours weather I am doomed to a non smart phone, or have to live with poor reception, again. I'll keep posted!

I live in the suburbs and have never had more than two bars. My Inc only shows 1 or 2 bars but the calls have been clear with plenty of volume.

Testing the phone at the store is a waste of time. You need to check it where you are going to be using it most of the time. When you buy the phone you have 30 days to return it. Take it to work and home and if it doesn't have the reception you need , just return it for a refund.

I don't like that we have to pry the cover off the back to remove the battery and then snap it back on, it just feels like its one of those things we'll be replacing in a few months of wear and tear, but I could be wrong, maybe HTC has found some way of reinforcing plastics to hold up better lol, idk.

More questions? Please feel free to ask
I've been kind of worried about the snap battery cover.
As for senseUI, I like some features, but some really annoy me and I can't wait to get rid of it. haha. Or atleast have that option.

In the pocketnow.com review, they go over TONS of stuff about the phone and widgets included etc.

Same here, but I don't like the wp7 as of right now. I liked what it supposedly was going to fix when it was first being leaked, but after that it just went downhill. Although I'll give MS the benefit of the doubt, and hopefully they'll pull it off in the end. But for the time being, I'm going to the Incredible and when wp7 matures, I might consider going back as WM was my first love haha...we'll see.

The Desire has been rooted, and it has been noted as being about as close to the Incredible as you can get.

So I feel pretty confident in saying it isn't a matter of if, but when the Incredible gets rooted!!!
+1

Google has pulled it themself. They decided not to have it go up against the Incredible...or atleast that's my take on the chain of events since they decided that after Verizon decided to have the Incredible.

The incredible would be a smoking wm device as well. Let the hackery begin.
haha, I was wondering this myself.

Wow, that phone is ancient. haha.
That phone is quite Badass though. Dunno why you don't have good reception as I always had great reception with mine. Make sure to keep reprogramming it every now and then to update the towers (*228 I believe it is).

I'm not quite sure about Verizon, but I know some places it's actually 15 days to return it and go back to your old contract, and after that, you're stuck with a contract resign and they'll only give you a different phone.
Just make sure you find out as I was told this multiple times, even from managers, but when it came down to having them actually cancel my contract cause I didn't want the POS phone I tried, I was screwed into the resigned contract.

Point I was trying to stress was not to buy the phone until you test the reception , if you live in bad reception area. Home and work.

You can buy the phone , test the phone for thee or four days and take it back if it has bad reception and get a different phone.
I did that with a xv6800 and it didn't cost a cent.
