Manila 2.1 not impressing me...

Truthfully, I'm not all that impressed with Manila 2.1 over 2.0. I can barely see any substantial differences that would justify the bugginess. Just my humble opinion.

It's not supposed to be a huge improvement.

It's just the final version of something we had already seen before.

you dont see the diff cosmetically, its more of a behind the scenes upgrades and fixes.

Well i like the facebook link to contacts working. What would the push internet be used for tho. U can set it to update at different intervals but what does that do different than just going to the page itself? And having the weather on your appointment dates is nice too.

I think it's slightly better than the previous version. I do like the new panoramic versions coming out though. SSK just released a very nice one

Without a doubt there more features than xboxmod's HD... but the HD was rock solid. I have been using Rhodium lately after the chefs worked out most of the bugs... but this next "jump" to official 2.1 seems to have introduced a lot of alpha-ness into the ROMs.

Then again... with the recent rapid movement of 6.5 ROM versions in THREE different branches (why, oh why?) I don't know where 2.1's problems stop and 6.5's problems start.

This is the price of a slick bleeding-edge ROM, I guess.

HD wasn't that good imo.

The conversion to VGA was half ***** in terms of graphics, in my opinion.

I'm not bashing the work, I know how long it took. But transitions seemed slower, the weather tab(oh god, the weather tab) and overall I was more impressed by the TF3D1.

I find the 2.1 actually to be a lot better in the department of landscape as well as quite a few other integration features
I am very impressed
