Coz, Mindfrost, thank you for the posts. They make sense (to me anyway).

Ninjamom, I understand what you are saying with "Rules are rules. Follow the rules of the site and you will be fine." but it's really not that simple. Example would be rule #5 Posting of Illegal software is not permitted.........

and yet our entire discussion right now is about a person who made their bones posting what I am sure HTC and Microsoft would consider illegal. Don't get me wrong, I don't want ANY of it to stop. I really do appreciate the site and the chefs, and my phone would be ****e with out them, but what they do is against a basic tenant of this site.

Also, just out of curiocity, what art are you training in?

I understand rules are rules but as long as people are not swearing and talking trash whats the big deal.

This is the "Internet" people. You should know that nothing is kept private weather is in a "pm" or not. If you're worried that it will be posted in the forum than don't type in the first place.

Mods do have a purpose on our forums but maybe some of them need to get off there "power trip" and realize they are like everyone else.

There will always be gray areas in all aspects of life. What is simple is that if you tried to follow the rules you should find that you will be ok.

None of us are on a power trip. We also realize we are just like everyone else. Oddly, it is others that seem to treat us differently purely because we are mods.

We donate our time to keep the site orderly. Because we love the site. We do what we think is best for it.... and it is working... This is a wonderful site. That is why the membership feels so strongly about it.

I do appreciate that fact. Some things just dont make sense the way they are handled. But Im just a member......

I can understand that. Especially if you don't have the whole picture to look at. Those are the times that you have to just trust that we do this for free because we care about the site and we are just trying to do the best we can.

That's my motto from now on.
I think there should definitely be rules. Without rules there would be chaos. I just think and truly believe that common sense must be the primary consideration when dealing with rules. But, I feel emotion is generally the factor that makes us react. That is unfortunate.
Oh well, as they say "You can't fight City Hall."
Gosh I hope I don't get banned for this post.
I already feel that I have a target on my head. lol
Please don't cast me out.
