Just because you switch ROMS and get better battery life/performance does not mean that the tweaks you had on the previous ROM are still in the new ROM. Always double-check your Reg settings, you might find that some settings are not what they were before. Oh, and get 6.5 :)

I'll update later, I just found some new tweaks and have had the phone @ 100 percent since 12:00PM today, so I'm going to run it until it dies and get back. @ 70 percent now. ETD: 1-1.5 days hopefully, I'll leave it unplugged tonight.

EDIT: 29 hours and still going. 20% battery life left, made a few extra battery tweaks today.

3 ) What tweaks have you done besides what came with your ROM? Not much really, I mess around with some settings on AdvancedConfig and have a few .cabs installed (like RescoKeyboard).
4 ) How many text messages do you approximately receive a day? A hundred? Maybe 200 or 300. Depends
5 ) How many minutes on the phone do you spend on the average each day? Probably only 20 minutes.
6 ) How many data related activities do you do? Include how frequent you check e-mail. I check my e-mail a few times a day and use Opera Mini for about 15 minutes on average.
7 ) Do you use bluetooth or wi-fi a lot and how much? Never.

Wow Clutchypoo that's a long lasting battery. I wish mine lasted that long but you get twice as many texts or three times as many as I do.

I got my battery yesterday, and looking at the instructions made me think. How often are people with good battery life going between ROM flashes vs. how long are the people with craptastic battery life going between flashes? The instructions with my battery are to fully charge for 8 hours min. and they say that I may need 5 or 6 full discharges/recharges to notice big gains. I wonder if the phone has a bit of a battery memory itself and if you keep flashing, it forgets. I know that I usually need a couple charges to get any sort of reliable battery life. Just a thought.

There isn't a cab but just searching for regedits and some of the hacks mentioned in this thread and others seem to help. There was a nice guide posted in another recent thread about battery life but the name escapes me.

i recently made the switch from evdo to 1x, because at work it was constantly switching, after i went with 1x it has last me at least close to 6 hours....

and another tweak that i have is with the "diamond tweak" that disconnect the data at requested time.... that has also save me a lot of juice

I'm up in Canada in vacation, banff, jasper, yoho, cell phone coverage is the pits! Worst battery usage ever! I do find setting 1x helps, so does roaming only, but still drains like no other! best to just leave it off!

I think the trick to keeping the phone alive is to have the screen turn off as quickly as possible. One thing I did recently and it helped my battery life was using a screen locking program (S2U2) that works well with your screen settings and have it turn off the screen within a minute.

Wow, is the Diamond eating so much battery really? I got my 1800 mAh today and I charged it for about 7 hours before I turned on my phone. It went down to 97 almost instantly and it's just going down and down and down.. Maybe it's because it's new and everything and I have to charge it few times before it reaches it's full capacity, but wow, HTC gotta do something about this. My Sony Ericsson w800i got a 900 mAh battery and I can listen to music on it for 48 hours straight or more without the battery dying. Sad HTC, sad.

Keep looking, read alot.... this is a new phone i got friday as a upgrade, they told me at the store that the battery was bad but come on 4 houres of it just laying there doing nothing, for half the time i had bt and i made about a 10 min call before i was warning me.... but since the regedit i made 3 calles maybe 30 min total and it seem to last almost 6 houres... i will trying to run it all the way down then charging it as i did notice it never stays at 100% and doing this a few time and i will keep looking for regedites something has to give... i will need to work sone or latter and this phone will have to work for atleast 9-10 houres... i hope i get it there or it will have to go back :-(

I like to make a observation that I have made since my post last night.
So I charged it fully yesterday morning till about 9 am, had it on the charger for a little bit, maybe 30-45 in the evening and I am still trying to kill the batter now 11am. Now when I woke up at 8 am it said it was low so when I checked on it and there was a back screed and it did not seem to come on I thought good its finally dead, I noticed the weal light still flashing and it was kinda hot again not sure what it was up to, so removed the battery to see which was hotter and stuck it back in turned it back on and it is still going. Now here is what I wonder other then recharging only when it needs it when you first get it and I do mean needs it cause its dead, if it lies and tell you the battery is almost dead when the batter still seems to have the better part of a few hours to go.
Well I will keep trying so I can see if I can get a 100% charge

Cool beans Bright. I would suggest going to MightyROM or another custom ROM and your battery life will improve dramatically. :D

i like MR but they are all great at improving over stock life. These things almost seem to have the "ghost in the machine" syndrome, you just need to find the one that works best on yours and your set.
