@a_medina you do not need to unlock your phone do make any of these type of changes... thank goodness!! I have my phone tweaked quite nicely, never unlocked updated stock rom...

This thread talks about the various files it takes to get rid of call history/calendar but still be able to press for access. It also shows how to move the clock to the corner. and other mods.

Basically, yes you can remove the text as a_medina has offered you. You can also remove the icons via a manila edit of 1bbfdc9b_manila to remove the graphic and then you can remove the appointments/missed calls/alarms by using mode9 editor on the 1c684cd8_manila manila file... You can do all this without having to use the files from the linked thread above if you're not wanting flip clock/background for all and corner.

As a_medina has pointed out you need to go to start/settings/today/items and uncheck touchflo3d, click OK then you can copy/overwrite files.
If you do want this update and don't want to venture into making the edits yourself you can use total commander to find those two files mentioned and zip them together to upload here. I'll remove the pertinent parts for you.
