Touchflo won't load, Cannot connect to activesync!

As above:

I've been using mightyrom for the past few months with no problems. About a week ago, the phone started slowing down considerably (lagging alot) so I would reset it.

It has gotten to the point where I need to reset it 1-2 times a day. Tonight at supper I reset it (stylus in the reset button with the battery cover off) and when it restarted, it would not load the touchflo setup and still runs very slow!

I thought I would try reflashing to the new rom (I think I'm on 4.6 or 4.8 how do I check?) but when I connected the phone to the pc so I could backup my contacts to activesync, the connection couldn't be established!

What should I do!?!?

EDIT: The computer recognizes that something has been connected (the phone) and the diamond asks if I want to use activesync, but then nothing happens. Activesync tries to connect but cant still.
