Re: why does the diamond get so hot?

I went on a 8 hour road trip to Georgia and was using my diamond running TomTom as my GPS and I noticed the same thing.

It got so hot it stopped charging. I had to position my air condition vents to blow directly on it or I would have gotten lost.

Re: why does the diamond get so hot?

when i'm at home using wmwifirouter for wifi, i sometimes throw my phone in the fridge. I if at work, next to the ice pack in my lunch box. Works pretty well, especially if you take the battery door off halfway.

It gets soooo hot using wifirouter (wifi) and downloading newgroups (radio and processer cranking out), plus the heat from ac charging and it's ready to burst into flames, with the back off it will keep charging at least, not the case if left on.
thats what ive been doing too. take off the back and try to keep it on the vents of the car. Stays cooler like that.
