I've had good luck with the Sprint 1.11.00f radio in Seattle...but I just kinda moved from the stock ROM to this one; and haven't tested around much.

Sorry!

Re: Radios and Best Locations (A Great List of 51 Cities!!!)

I ended up switching back to Telus. Both of the Sprint radios get pretty hot here in Austin.

Re: Radios and Best Locations (A Great List of 51 Cities!!!)

I use the telus radio and the couple times I stayed in the gaslamp area in SD I had great battery life and outrageous data speeds while tethering (2.5mbps+). No extensive testing though.

Madison, WI Telus 1.04.05V > US Cellular 1.07.06F

Holding 2 Touch Pro's side by side, i noticed a difference of ~ 2 signal bars

Re: Radios and Best Locations (A Great List of 51 Cities!!!)

Ann Arbor, MI & Troy, MI --> Telus 1.04.05V is definitely better than the original Sprint radio. I get 1-2 extra bars, and battery seems to last a tad longer. I didn't notice a difference in data speed though.

I'm going to have to disagree with vzw being the best radio in Pasadena... definitely Telus 1.04

Re: Radios and Best Locations (A Great List of 51 Cities!!!)

What's the difference between radio's, all are CDMA and operate on same freq's. I could see Telus being better as Canada could have a different regulation on power output and tx time and what not but is there really a difference between US radio's?

I'm in the same predicament, nYc located, and my current radio is slow as 'ell

I really want the vzw 1.03, but if anyone has any evidence that another radio is better performing in nyc..well please let me know.

ALSO, I have a request, just in case the right person reads this.

I'm looking to have a bare bones rom, with the vzw rom built for my diamond.
If your up for it, we can chat about what setup would be ideal. I know time is money, so I am willing to pay a couple of bux for the service and knowledge.

I can payyy pal or send a money order, either way...if anyone is interested...hollar at the kid.

Easy NoW!

C.
