Re: htc diamond dead

removing the chip is not the solution just contact your service provider say its not working act dumb best bet is they wont even check it. iv heard htc will sometime's do outside warranty repairs for free to. if you could read the manual i posted earlier and got a sd service flash device then you could flash your bricked diamond no problem how this works i dont know i only discoverd this information today i do know the correct jtag wiring diagram is shown but its pretty useless without the software inside the white box. this looks like it puts diamond into so kind menu iv never seen.

edit: had second glance at manual you can flash the diamond using a memory card reader/sd card hooked up to the mini usb port on diamond the problem is getting the diagnostic sd files from htc to put the diamond into bootloader mode via this method. the link in manual requires a password and username.

You will find 99.9% of ROMS over at XDA, GSM ROMs. There is very little support for CDMA there as CDMA is a technology used only in certain parts of the world.

I hope to provide some information to GSM users here in good time as I see there is not much.

Hope that helps

Re: htc diamond dead

You should do a hard reset. there is a little button somewhere when you pull the stylus out. look it up on youtube, type these words "how to hard reset htc diamond". Hope this helps. HTC DIAMOND RAWKZ

Re: htc diamond dead

vol control down, action button.. then power. May work for you..
If not, plug the phone into the charger, take the battery out, then hold power for 7 seconds.

After that do the first hard reset.

thx
I had same problem my first time flashing....Except I flashed a GSM on a CDMA, but either way my phone was dead. I pulled out the battery, held down the Volume Down & Power Button, and re-inserted the battery. It worked for me so you might wanna give it a shot.

Re: htc diamond dead

I had it once where I thought it was dead, what I did was remove the battery for like 5 mins, then put it back in, turned it on to go to bootloader (left arrow, down vol, and power) and held it like that for 10 seconds (longer than usual) and it finally vibrated and turned on to bootloader, then I flashed from internal memory. See if that helps...
