Re: Storage Memory Full
There's a few threads on this that will give you more details but basic first steps are to clear your opera cache and your messaging... all your txts/emails and browsing are default stored in your windows directory and build up over time. Do a search on how to redirect this but for now you can open your opera browser and click settings in the bottom right menu button.. then privacy and delete cookies, cache, history. If you use Internet Explorer clear that out as well. To manualy clear your messaging go to your email tab and click on Inbox on the bottom left, then highlight each account and click menu/tools/Clear "account name" do this for each account and text messaging that you have set up. UNLESS you want to keep those emails.. then do not do this.. instead read the posts on how to redirect the storage. (there is more to it than just sending attachments to the storage card).
Good luck... that should get you some of your space back. Also it is true, some of the various manila themes do carry a larger load than others, however changing themes should not stack up in your memory because they basically overwrite your manila files in windows... just be sure you are storing the unused theme files in your storage card. |

Re: Storage Memory Full
You can also try this cleanup app:
EDIT: You can try ClearTemp as well. It's also free. Here is the Product/Download page: http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-...cleartemp.html

I wish there was though. I loath having to input all my passwords again! The only reason I recommended it is because it is so simple to use. Just click on it, and your pretty much done. |

Re: Storage Memory Full
Thanks all for the responses, I much appreciate it. So far, with the two utilities, I was only able to bring it to 12mb free. Not bad......I was also wondering. I installed the carbon theme a couple of times trying to get it to work correctly. I uninstalled it, but, wonder if there were some manilla files that were left in the windows directory from that install. It's hard to know which ones were left over and which ones my black theme is using. I also wonder if anyone remembers how much storage memory was free in the diamond out of the box. There are a number of cab files in the windows directory that cannot be deleted, but, are, on average 2mb. These are cab files for the different apps for the diamond out of the box......Just food for thought. Again, thanks everyone for your help.

Re: Storage Memory Full
A program like memmaid Darren suggested or SKtools will let you move some of those cabs and other dlls to your storage card to get you more base space. I am not familiar with memmaid but it was pretty simple process with SKTools. Check with Darren on how to move if you're already using memmaid.
About the manila you can always use a program like manila customizer or tf3dconfig to easily revert back to stock theme.. then install your current favorite. That will for sure get rid of extra.. or better yet, use Total Commander (Maybe memmaid also can do this) and search your windows directory for all _manila (use underscore) files and delete. Then do a soft reset/reboot and they will re-write to stock as well as remove any extras... then run the setup you're happy with. This is only useful if you're sure of how you're going to set up your touchflo themes and have the tools to remake it how you're liking it. |

memmaid is a must for the ppc. its a $ app. but, theres a free trial to play with it. nothing to loose, bottom line is, it works. also, on my diamond i deleted the userguide or whatever its called in windows. plus as i said, switch opera cache to internal storage. big plus.
