Um, I think he was referring to your comment here.....You did say it was the ONLY reason to upgrade.

As if TF3D is the only advantage the Diamond has over the Vogue.

You dont even remember what you say. You are special JQuill

It's obviously why they built such a powerful phone...to use things like TF3D as the primary OS...if you got The Diamond and disabled TF3D you do not need to upgrade. It does not mean there are not benefits to having the phone if you disable TF3D, but you don't NEED to upgrade to the Diamond if you're just going to use it like it was a regular touch. What do you all use that you couldn't use on the touch? Besides accelerometer games and programs because thats obvious.

Re: Cube for VGA devices? If not what's the quickest way to make a phone call?

TF3D is just a Today screen plugin. It's not an OS. It's a thin interface for doing.. not that much really.

The Diamond is a much, much better phone than the Touch. Better screen, more memory, faster processor, better camera, you name it. TF3D is, to me, a hinderance in comparison to the regular Windows Mobile Today Screen with the right plugins.

TF3D is just one of dozens of Today Screen plugins available. It's flashier and prettier than most, but its functionality is quite limited. It's not an OS - as soon as you need to do anything real you need to leave TF3D anyway. It requires more time and input to accomplish basic tasks than alternatives, so I don't use it.

The Diamond was not "meant for" TF3D. HTC felt the need to create a flashier, more modern Today Screen plugin to sell more phones. That's it.

This is patently false.

With my standard Today Screen and SPB Phone Suite plugin, I tap the lock key, tap the face, then tap yes and it dials. This is faster than anyone is going to push a button on their bluetooth headset, then say a name, then have the phone recognize and dial the name.

Perfect solution, THANKS! I used the FtouchFLO (free older version).

Why not just program the speed dial numbers?

click phone, hold down the number, 2~8.

on another note, there is a option to make a video call.
I knew it didn't work but thought it was funny it was there.

Edit: Here it is, and make sure you deactivate TF3D in the Today Screen Items, before trying to use this.

Good Luck!
Thanks! TF3D looks so nice, but is such a hassle to use. I like the phone so much more now. Way peppier with TF3D disabled, and HTC Home Enable! Love it.
