Re: Phone not ringing when receiving picture mail!
Email sound. The LED's pattern is also similar to new email. Makes sense, because SPM uses POL extension.
To recap what the OP discovered, the version shipped does not make sound when new PM arrives (0.1.4 something). Shortly thereafter, Sprint released an updated (0.2. something) that adds audible notification. As far as sMMS goes, I tried it with the Diamond early on, and found that intercept did not work. SPM intercepts differently than sMMS and grabs the notification before sMMS has a chance at it. If SPM can be completely uninstalled, that might be a viable option. Some used the new SPM cab to install, then uninstall SPM (since the shipped version had its uninstall info removed during customization), but I don't remember reading if sMMS worked after that. I would be curious to know if sMMS is fully working (including intercept) with Diamond/TP now. Although SPM is a pain, sMMS is at the mercy of Sprint's PM website. As soon as Sprint decides to make a change on the structure or navigation of the site, sMMS may no longer work. I'm sure SomeGuy would try to fix that quickly, but it may mean downtime for sMMS users. |
