Phone not ringing when receiving picture mail!

What setting do i have to change?...my phone doesn't ring when i receive picturemail

If by "ring" you mean notify, download sMMS instead. If cab already downloaded, then go to start/settings/personal/sounds and notifications/notifications, make sure "messaging: new message" has play sound checked, display message is checked, and the vibrate settings(that's also your choice to turn on) is checked

or, you can just change "new email notification" to whatever you want... i think, right?

email?? for picmail?? when recv'g picturemail, is a regular notification, i believe...also, you [i]do[i] know you can rec'v picturemail regularly like a non-pda, right? not thru email

i noticed he was on sprint, and sprint's pic mail update seems like it registers the pic mail account through email, not sms.

exactly...lol, thats why i mentioned sMMS. But, I do believe recv'g picmail is a regular notification, its just sending picturemail that used to have to go thru email, on a winmo device

I have sprint and when i receive picturemail the picturemail icon shows on top and at bottom little box saying picture mail...no ringing

ok, well maybe the model is the difference, which i doubt. but on my 800w, my picmail comes in the same as a text, even when using sMMS, which i why i suggested checking those settings

question thought of after original post: is your ROM stock or custom

My phone rings when I receive Text and E-mail...is there a setting for picturemail on the sounds and notifications?

lol, i'm desperately trying to catch up on some work, otherwise i would have... but now i'm extremely curious about how this is going to be answered. i'm confused as hell.
