Sweet, as I don't have a data plan, I will install this. Data has been turned on myseriously 2 times for me already.

Your gps is seperate from you data. I've been in wilderness areas where there wasen't a cell tower for hundreds of miles, and was still getting gps location, no problem.

We know that, but if you did have service, your data connection would have enabled itself automatically.

So with this program, can you still get a GPS lock with a Cell Phone that is not connected.

tried it... but HTC's Streaming Media programme switches it back on by itself again!
