Re: Diamond - Internal Storage renamed Internal Storage2
there doesn't need to be any flashing of roms to fix this, just delete the folder I said above and soft reset, problem fixed!

EDIT -- Doh! It reverted back to the two Internal Storages again - maybe because I switched the connection type back to ActiveSync? This is driving me CRAZY! I think I'll have to reflash and maybe reformat the internal storage. Last edited by Dreading; 03-26-2009 at 08:34 PM. |

Re: Diamond - Internal Storage renamed Internal Storage2
I stumbled across this the other day, is this a fix for the issue? It's right on HTC's site... and no, it doesn't say "if you're flashing customized ROM's use this" but I'm sort of interpreting it that way?
I haven't had this problem for a hot minute, or I'd test it out... Oh and this is for Sprint, the other carries might have them too, just need to search HTC http://www.htc.com/us/supportdownloa...act=sd&cat=all |

Re: Diamond - Internal Storage renamed Internal Storage2
Try flashing a stock ROM, hard reset and wipe out the Internal Storage too (back up everything!). Then move to something like MightyROM 4.8 or whatever. I love MightyROM and it runs very stable for me. If you get a good running ROM with very few or not any bugs then things will be smooth for you. After that you should be good to go, otherwise you will have to reflash stock, relock, and get a new phone.

Re: Diamond - Internal Storage renamed Internal Storage2
Are you on a custom rom? This happens a lot more often if MMS is cooked into the rom rather than .cab'd in afterwards. If that is the case, it won't go away by flashing the same rom over again.

I can't be sure of this, but i'm almost certain i fixed this by just changing the name of the folder via active sync on my computer. I DEFINITELY didn't need to reflash though. Either way, good luck

Re: Diamond - Internal Storage renamed Internal Storage2
Yeah, using Mystery's ROM with MMS cooked in (I think). I was able to just reflash it and things are fine again for now. But I will have to be careful that I never select "disk drive" when connecting via USB again or I'm sure it will happen all over again.

Re: Diamond - Internal Storage renamed Internal Storage2
This happens to me all the time, when I connect using linux and select the USB drive option, just delete or rename the Internal Storage folder and reboot.
