Stylus Issue With Touch Diamond

the stylus is the magnet.
i just noticed this last night, i took it out and i had to pry it off my metal file cabinet.

same thing JUST happened to me. could someone tell me where the little magnet strip actually belongs? i know its somewhere around the first tunnel, but on what side? if i put the strip to my stylus it moves to what would be the "back" of the phone, is this where it belongs?
