the 20000 is in milliseconds I think so it still checks every 20 seconds. I don't see that making it less accurate really

i installed the cab last night, after resetting I recharged as usual overnite. Today with light usage, a few calls w/bluetooth, beam off etc., battery was stone dead acording to guage by 3:00 pm. Don't know if the battery fix caused this or not. Uninstalled cab and now charging.

Re: Increase Battery Life without Custom ROM

Try Schap's Advanced Config. There are settings in there for power management which may help.

Re: Increase Battery Life without Custom ROM

welcome to geekdom. I have tweaked and continue to tweak a stock rom. running it for 6+ months now. I have disabled various services, no tf3d, set to 1x when doing lots of txting (ie when I'm getting lots of sports updates)
I think that's probly your bigest issue is using pusheffect you phone switches to 1x for the silent sms, then starts a data connection while swithing back over to evdo. if you get lots of email, your probly better off using exchange or just checking every 15min.

btw, I don't change the polling, as there are plenty of other things the cpu does every 5 sec anyway.

oh and for my battery life, sometimes I can go 2 days, other times 3hrs, just depends on what I was messing with lately. and I carry a spare battery, so I don't always pay attention.
