yeah, 'I have a touch diamond, but I managed to crack the battery cover. do you guys have any replacements?'. The cracked story probably wasn't even necessary. Have a few locations in mind, though -- my nearest store reported "oh, no, those are way too new, there won't be any spare parts for a while...". Then the second store found one in the back in all of 3 seconds.

Snagged the last black rit box at the local Michaels; this should be fun tomorrow.


edit: came out beautifully; dyed the back and stylus in a (non-magnetic) pan of barely steaming water for about 30 mins. The back looks perfect after a buffing, absolutely no trace on the clear insert. the tip of the stylus has a slight reddish hue, but it looks good that way. I think now I have to do the usb port with some black acrylic -- a black port would work with either the dyed or original back, but the red one just looks bizarre.

Yeah main reason I also wanted to get a new back. Somehow the plastic covering right over the camera managed to crack... went to a store and they said that they didn't have any.
