Re: DIY Black battery cover

I've read the entire thread and as I understand it there has been no discoloration over time? What's the final verdict? This is a definite go?!?

Read the Touch Pro thread - there are a few reports of dye rubbing off, although most seem successful.

It's too early to ask about "discoloration over time" - it's only been a week.

Actually..... i'm starting to get some... prolly because i had it in my hand virtually the whole time we were on the road (10 hours lol) but i did have some rub off where the black dye transfered to my hand. you cant tell it by looking at the back cover yet... but it has started to bleed off. Not much at all, but it has.

Sorry to hear. I'm still thinking that masking tape and spray paint is the way to go (for the USB area also). Want to first get an extra back to try it on, though.
