I bought a new diamond from cellmystuff2 on ebay. Good feedback. Came next day, brand new, all items inside sealed and in original sprint retail box. (not oem or asurion box) Activated online with no issues. Also, item was shipped from MN, where the seller is from, not from some sprint or asurion warehouse.

I just checked on this seller and he has changed his name to Chris_loves_Scarlett. Maybe he's professing his love to the world??

I just got mine. It was listed in like new condition and she was not kidding. It still had all the plastic on it. It was just the phone, battery, and charger but thats all I need. Manuals available online and the software is usually outdated. Turned it on and activated then installed bodyguardz. I'll let it dry and mess with it at work tomorrow then tomorrow night I'll enter the world of roms and give mike's a go.

Got tired of waiting to get a phone through the Sprint store, and really didn't like the idea of a 2 year contract, not to mention I am considering using Cricket's service, so I instead made an impulse buy on ebay.

So, does it seem like a scam?

Some info-

Got an email from paypal where it had the seller's email address being a yahoo.pl account, which links to yahoo uk and ireland. His/her rating is also a perfect 100 (does that even matter?) and he/she has been a member since Feb, 06. There is also the Buyer Protection with Paypal on that page, so I am wondering if that will get me my money back if I am screwed over.

Basically I am just sitting here freaking myself out. So should I be extremely worried, or just the normal sort of worried?

Edit- Okay, I got a pretty legit response from him to a question I asked. So will stop worrying for now (or at least try). The really cool thing about this deal is that I can get another Diamond or maybe even a Pro (need to talk to the Sprint guy) since I can get insurance on this phone, and luckily it has a scratch.

CupofDice - the story sounds legit, there is only one for sale (as opposed to the many that the scammers usually have) and he said he has an original box. My vote is legit.

lowly rep at sprint corporate store with customer account information miay be filling insurnace claim and having it shipped to ebay buyer's address.
One of class mate at university (employee at sprint store) mentioned it once while ago.

Thanks. I don't really use ebay much, just once for a labtop a few years ago (battery didn't charge on that one). Can't wait till I get the Diamond in my hands. Should be here next week.

So was this a good deal assuming it is in good condition and so on? Read some have gotten them for even lower, but this was the lowest I could find through a quick search looking for real pictures. Wish the Pros were near that price range.

I'm happy with my "used but excellent condition" Diamond from a legit buyer...and if something goes very, very wrong, it's insured. I paid way less than retail plus I didn't have to change my sweet contract...

Well I took the eBay plunge over the weekend. It should arrive in a couple days. I bought from a vendor recommended in this thread (PM if interested) and I feel confident it is fairly legit. Will post results when it arrives.
