Do you use WiFi on Diamond?

Just checking to see how many of you actually use the WiFi on your Diamond or do you find it more convenient to use EVDO, I like the Wifi when traveling overseas instead of carrying a 50 pound laptop.

Re: Do you use WiFi on Diamond?

At nighttime I like to stream different Internet radio stations at high bitrates. I turn off the phone radio and EVDI, and just stream wifi. It works great, and I don't worry about getting midnight phone calls.

Re: Do you use WiFi on Diamond?

I use it pretty regularly to stream music as well... it's a very nice addition to have and was basically the main reason I chose this phone over the Instinct.

Re: Do you use WiFi on Diamond?

I use it all the time at home and work to grab stuff from my PCs and servers and whenever I want to stream audio or video.

I rarely ever use the wifi. It eats up too much battery power.

But if you are at home streaming music that's not really an issue since you have access to a charger.

Re: Do you use WiFi on Diamond?

I find that evdo is pretty fast and does everything I need it to do flawlessly. I know streaming is a little slow but still lightspeeds ahead of most phones

If my laptop was 50 lbs I wouldn't lug it around either...lol
I use wifi when I'm at home so I can surf while talking.

Yeah, I never even noticed the 50 lb laptop remark when I posted before.

OP, what do you get for battery life out of that laptop? Like 478 hours?
