thanks. that makes sense. well the phone according was manufactured on 9-21-08 according to the data provided when I input ##786#. Like I said, it still gets very warm at times so I am not sure.

The batt also lasts a bit longer,on my old Diamonds,if I stream internet radio through BT Stereo headset,it lasted for about 3 hour,the new diamond lasts about 3 3/4 hours,seems around 20% longer.

I just got another new Diamond from Sprint:

DATE: 11/08/08
REV: FA00

I will swap ESNs and try this for the weekend and see if there any improvements in battery heat and longevity.

Since mine is written as 17/07/08 I assume it's written in european format which has the date first and then the month, so his would be from August 11th not November 8th.
