Believe me, I don't need more time to study "Exchange architecture." I have been doing Exchange administration since ver. 5.5 back in '98. It was actually a drive in my RAID array that went bad and I had to get it back online without adding another drive in, as I didn't have an extra one on hand and no time to get one. And while I'm at it, here... have a Thanks... you look like you could use it... |

Re: VOIP Application for Touch Diamond
Nope, but we do know that rainfreak has the sprint simply everything plan! And that his exchange server crashed when a single drive failed in his raid array. From this we can also assume that he isnt using Exchange 2007, atleast not w/ SCR, CCR, or LCR. But I digrees...
To the OP, sorry to wh0re your thread. Have your tried Fring? You can check it out here ... http://www.fring.com/ Cheers! |

OP, have you tried any of the following? I am not sure if any of them are exactly what you are looking for, but it was worth a quick look. Also, if you are using SIP, didn't the provider provide you software for softphones? If so, did you ask to see if they have software for PPCs? I have an IP phone system and have software for my PPC phone that works with my system for VOIP (though I never used it for more than a test because I seriously don't want to be THAT available). Also, when I was looking at a couple of different providers for SIP, they all offered free software for PPCs. Anyway... http://www.bewip.com/en-us/info/howitworks.aspx http://www.nch.com.au/talk/ http://www.sjlabs.com/sjp.html http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-...call-v0-1.html |

Thanks I will try to go through them and see if any of them work with the built-in ear piece.

Re: VOIP Application for Touch Diamond
Pretty sure there is no application anywhere at this point that makes VoIP calls come through the phone speaker. I read somewhere that it's a fundamental issue with access to the speaker in windows mobile. This was the case on my apache with Microsoft VoIP client, on my Vogue with Fring... and I haven't bothered on my diamond yet (because, like rainfreak, I also have more phone minutes than I need, so it's purely academic).
The solution is to use a headset. It's hacky, but it gets the job done. And, as far as getting the built in Microsoft VoIP working, I think this xda post should point you in the right direction. (I haven't actually played with it and don't know if there're any caveats for CDMA diamonds; but, if there are, there are answers down that xda rabbithole, undoubtedly). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=415262 |

Re: VOIP Application for Touch Diamond
To digress, I don't know if you can use nimbuzz for the voip account you use, but I know that with my skype, msn, and google talk, the audio comes from the earpiece - not the speakerphone. and it is truly data - not my voice minutes. My phone will even ring when one of my contacts with skype or google talk "call' me. All nimbuzz does is facilitate the keeping of all my voip accounts and contacts in one central location. Check it out.
