It's in way too many phones to be a software corruption of an application.
Man if only these devices had an external power switch for the screen liek the mogul did for wifi.

Like Courtney said, but you dont want to deselect everything just the "Flash light" option.
Start<Settings<Sound and Notifications<select Notification tab Then Select Reminders under the Event pull down menu. When you do that, you will see new options appear. On of them being "Flash Light". De-select it. Done. Good Luck!
