Re: Is Anyone Actually Keeping Their Diamond

I'm keeping my Diamond. The battery and heat issue are no longer issues affecting my Diamond. This is a much better device than what I had, which was a PPC-6700. I also played around with the Touch Pro and just didn't think it was all that. C'mon, I want a POCKETpc, not a brick looking device.

The only thing I wished was cheaper were apps for WM6. Look at the iPhone and see what kind of things you can get for free to $, $$, $$$.

But that's why I have my own iPod Touch..for music, games, and videos!

I've been thinking about upgrading from my HTC (Sprint) Touch.
How does the Diamond compare as far as the screen, the size etc?

Size is the same, and to quote someone else on this board, the Diamond's resolution makes the Touch look like a Fisher Price toy...

Re: Is Anyone Actually Keeping Their Diamond

I'm keeping mine. For the moment.
I do plan on visiting Sprint but I bought it new off craigslist so I'm not holding out hope that they are gonna exchange it (:
I'd wait anyway since the TP could have the same issues(?).

Some interesting stuff here in this thread. I too noticed that plugged in it will discharge while listening to music streamed from the internet to bluetooth.
Five hours is all I get even after flashing the ROM and the radio. I have no clue how others are getting 10+ unless they don't use the phone for much.

Re: Is Anyone Actually Keeping Their Diamond

i am still trying to replace it for the Sprint Touch Pro and I keep getting sent to store to replace my Diamond for another Diamond. Im on my second Diamond and this one is manufactured on 09/02/08 and I HATE IT is even slower than the first one.

I have the Alltel Diamond and Im not seeing that kind of battery life. I unplug mine at 7am, and its giving me battery warnings between 7and9 at night, and thats with light to moderate usage. I am getting emails checked every 4 hours, but I think my weather is updated more often than that. I need to find a way to stretch out that a little longer.

I was full on for the Touch pro, but after seeing the diamond and realizing its size difference with my trusty Treo WX, I just bought it. Im 5 days into owning it, and I dont feel that Ill go pro. This device is small, fits in a BB Pearl pouch, Id almost call it the perfect size... my opinion of course.

There is a slight bit of noise on custom Alltel ROMS, which Im sure will make things even better.

99% sure Ill be keeping the Diamond.

Your request to switch back to the Touch is denied. Deal with the Diamond and learn to love it!

FYI... cataclysm13 is my son and my employee... I truly have denied his request
