How does the Samsung Instinct stack up to the Diamond or even the HTC Touch? I'm just a little stuck on which one is right for me.
I used a friend of mine's Instinct, I compare it to putting a baby into a crib (Total Restriction) That phone was made for zombies. Just bring back the Diamond and "Open your mind Quaid"

Re: HTC Diamond seems to be defective.

The screen rotation on opera seems to rotate when it wants to
The battery does not last very well
the gps lags
the mail on touchflow is hard to scroll through.
My exchange server won't work -looks like might be a problem on my end.
Having a touchscreen only phone is aggravating when your hands have any grease or dirt on them.

With all of that said, I couldn't see getting rid of this phone, although I could trade it for another if I find it is defective. Why?
1. the screen to be so small compared to larger phone like the iphone is so clear. Try watching youtube -much better than sprint tv. The streaming, while not perfect is still good, and the picture is vivid. That is amazing for a little phone.
The size is much better than the bulky phones.I'm within my thirty days so after being frustrated with the bugs, I went to att, and verizon to look at my options. Well, the iphone is so big for a phone, I wouldn't want to carry it around. And if you like carrying word documents and excel files, you can look at them, but not alter them. A big phone with little work productivitiy, forget it. Verizon phones are too big, and I'm not paying 30 or more for a data package.

As shown on here, there s a lot of room for software improvement, so hopefully through the folks on here and other places, the software should get better.

The only thing I am contemplating is upgrading to the pro, but I am going to hate to lose the size of this phone.

Re: HTC Diamond seems to be defective.

okay since we've all agreed that the Instinct is sub par at best, what about the HTC Touch? Is there a real big difference between the Diamond and the regular touch? Reason being is that i didn't want to spend this much on the phone, and now i need some money back.lol. So how does the HTC Touch stack up against the instinct?
