Arrives Today - What should I NOT do?
Greetings! I come from the planet PALM.
My Sprint Diamond is schedueled to arrive today.
Is there anything I should or should not do when setting things up? I won't get a chance to do much more than charge and activate today. I hear people talking about skipping parts of the setup where it installs certain things. Are these devices easy to "hard" reset like the Palms? Do they go all the way back to their original state?
I use Exchange 2003 and Hotmail for email. I have a laptop at work and a laptop at home. I'm not familiar with Active Sync. Is it pretty much the same as Hot Sync? I was hoping to get away from having to sync much. I have a shared account with everthing included in our data plans.
I've added a fifth line for the Diamond and will continue to carry my Centro until I get through the 30 day period (is this required in order to get the rebate?). Then I plan to do a swap. I plan to hard reset the Centro and give it and the new line to a family member. I'd like to have the Diamond function on my line. Is there anything I might permanently mess up for the family member on the new line if I play around with Picture Mail, Sprint Nav, Express, Etc.?
Thank you for any advice to help make this transition smoother.
