Re: resistive touchscreen vs capacitive

I've got a WM6.1 HTC XV6800 (verizon) and a iPod Touch 16gb. I've had windows mobile devices since the very beginning and like them (I also have written an app for windows mobile). I'm also a 100% PC person. No macs in my house since my work requires PC's.

That being said, I'm getting more and more used to the touch. I'm really starting to look at getting an iphone to have only one device (again). Verizon's contract is probably the only thing keeping me from doing that. Although I really appreciate a good keyboard (like on the vx6800), the touch's on screen keyboard is really starting to work well for me (keyboard is a deciding factor for me). And the screen's responsiveness is what makes it work. I find I like the windows mobile screen's responsiveness less and less. Aside from that (and a little off topic), the UI just makes things feel better for me on the touch. My only complaint would be the lag time to bring up some apps, but that's a problem on my xv6800 as well. And the integration with the apps store is, well, there's no comparison out there right now for Windows Mobile.

i was hearing something about this as well, hadn't seen the video though. someone i know who works at sprint said they're talk of the diamond being able to support "multi-touch", however it just isn't being utilized yet...
