Re: resistive touchscreen vs capacitive
they both have their advantages, the biggest to capacitive being multi touch. but resistive is more precise. also I like being able to use my thumbnail as an alternative.

I like capacitive because it is more sensitive and it is easier for the device to detect gestures. At the same time, iPhone's UI is purpose designed for finger use. WM is a stylus UI, and resistive is likely to work better because one must hit (at times) a very small area on the screen. After using my iPhone for a while, it's hard to work with the HTC devices. I have to train myself to push harder. The point is moot, I doubt there is a way to retrofit. |

Re: resistive touchscreen vs capacitive
Not exactly true anymore. I saw a post, which led to an Youtube video of someone demonstrating the Diamond being able to support multi-touch. If memory serves, they even showed the buttons area being touch sensitive.

Re: resistive touchscreen vs capacitive
yea the button area is capacitive a la iphone. the screen is capacitive. there was a post ages ago in the touch/titan area about using some crazy algebra to get us at least two touches off the screen, but i think interest in that died ages ago.

Re: resistive touchscreen vs capacitive
I want the one that isn't in the iPhone because I am already sick of the comparisons between iPhone and any other device in the world. Can't wait until Christmass when Apple releases the iToaster...
