Re: Why aren't they advertising?

Yeah I didnt think of the complexities of using winmo devices. Especially since you have to tweak them a little to get them running well. I kinda forgot about back when I worked at Sprint the numbe rof customers who would bring their phone back because it was "broke" but it was actually user error....and these were just plain old ugly red candybar nokia 3585...and Samsung A460s....God those phones are ancient now..

Re: Why aren't they advertising?

I think it's being geared toward the business user. Not that I believe it to be right way to advertise it though.

Re: Why aren't they advertising?

exactly, the instinct was advertised so heavily b/c its a multimedia device that was cheap, which the majority of what people nowadays want. keep in mind, yes, the diamond is very very cool, but its still as complex as any other windows mobile device, and we all know they arent for everyone. i work in a sprint corporate location and i bet that half the diamonds sold will come back because people think its the next new instinct and not a pretty pocket pc that still freezes, lags, things like that

Re: Why aren't they advertising?

Its been said here, but yes... Average Joe should not have this phone, nor would it be practical for them to have it. The diamond is an elitist phone for the most part... I mean think about it, we've gotta do so many customizations to it for the phone to work properly and/or the way we want it... Its crazy.

Also look at price. The instinct is now available for 129.99! That's much more in the reach of the average phone buyer than a $249.99 phone.
