Choose Edit
Enter your MSL
Click View Info soft key
Choose Modem Settings
Click on slot cycle index and click Menu soft key
change value to 0 or 1 (lower the number, quicker the tower checks)
Click Menu soft key, then OK
Let phone reset

if your internet is working on your diamond, dont worry about it. my internet wasnt working and it was because my profile was set on 0, not good. should be 1. this fixes it. edit. i may be wrong now that i read the whole post. i thought it was the profile fix. sorry jumped the gun. lol

This will decrease ringer delay. The time between when someone calls you and when your phone starts to ring. If you set to 0 the caller will hear around 1 1/2 rings before your phone starts to ring.

incorrect. this mod actually changed the Polling rate at which the cell probes for tower connection.

And that would be correct. It will help you get your calls faster, because they come from the tower quicker, thereby making your phone ring faster.

Your both correct.
scheel78: a faster "poll" for the tower means you phone doesn' t wait as long to detect the call. I'm not exactly sure on your time quote though...

jugalox: That is exactly what it changes, how often the phone "checks" for an incomming call. Thus decreasing ringer delay.

Juggs, what number are you using and how is your battery life? I just set mine to 0 since I miss calls a lot and my wife is POed about it but I would like to know if you have seen a big difference?

i use 0 as im in bad signal area some times
