he doesn't own a cell phone apparently. or he would know when people talk on there phones they like to be able to hear the other person. thus they put the device to there ear. how sensation the mic is has nothing to do with this issue at hand. he clearly didn't even think before he posted. otherwise he would have realized, that what he wrote was utterly retarded. i have a great sense of humor, and even i think this guy has the useless post of the week award

lol you officially have won the useless post of the week award twice in a 15 min span

you do realize that EVERY device with a touch screen out there has this issue. its not a matter of not slapping your self in the face with the phone. its a matter of holding it comfortably while you talk which requires each person to position it as they see fit.

oh yah, also here is a useful tidbit of info, since id like to help yah out so your posts are not so ignorant in the future. its not peoples cheeks that hit the touch pad usually its the ear. look at the location of the touch screen in corespondent to the earpiece. do the math its simple and don't take a rocket scientist to see that 97% of peoples ear lobes hit that touch screen as soon as its against there ear to talk. hence why my start menu always pops up

this device needs a "lock touch screen when in call" function just like every other device i have had.

thankfully i use sensor lock to do this. it works well.

oh ayh, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=422871

thats sensor lock. it has an option to lock the touch screen once your device starts ringing. its useful so you dont answer the device when taking it out of your pocket. and you dont hit buttons with your ear/face.

the only down side is you have to use the hardware answer and end keys as the touch panel is locked.

your always welcome to make a fool of your self. gives us something to laugh at

something my mother taught me years ago, "its better to keep your mouth shut if you don't know, and let people think your ignorant. then to open you mouth and prove them correct."

Damn I can't believe that there's no registry hack that does this. Has HTC/MS not thought of this? Not trying to start a war here, but I'm just innocently asking, does the IPhone's screen lock on call?
