Re: Anyone buy a diamond without contract extention?
IF you have multiple problems with the same device, and you are under TEP, sometimes Sprint will authorize a swap to an upgraded model. The best way to get a swap like that is to build a case against the unit you have now. Every little issue ,call it in, after so many calls you can then start asking for a swap to a different unit.

Re: Anyone buy a diamond without contract extention?
Can you get any discount when directly buying Diamond from telesales without using upgrade discount or contract renewal? I was "offered" to exchange my farking defective Touch by getting a diamond first from telesales or store then returning the Touch back for credit but there will be price difference between the two and I'm trying to bring that down a little bit.
And btw, does telesales provide "return kit" when I'm ordering a new phone in this situation? The ecare people said they did, but I just know that some of those reps are full of B$ when trying to kick you out. |

Re: Anyone buy a diamond without contract extention?
i got mine free from retentions also. they told me to return my touch, but no one has sent out a return kit. then they told me to keep my touch since i had it more than 30 days b/c there was nothing they could do with it, and they would not credit my account for it. when the rep did this she messed up my upgrade. ( i am waiting on the pro). so the rep noted my acct that i can either trade my diamond for the pro when it is released or they will honor my upgrade and let me buy the pro at the 2yr agreement price and keep both. that sounded a bit strage to me, so i called back to make sure everything was noted. and it was. so now i have the touch and the diamond. the touch will be up for sell once i make sure they don't try to do anything funny to my bill. you know how sprint is.:>)
