This is just a thought and I have not done careful testing.
...and an idea based on some logic. The harder a processor works the more heat it generates.

This is one of the higher mhz devices on the market in one of the smallest packages and its running a phone radio, bluetooth radio, wifi radio, and GPS, not to mention a ton of other functions and processes that are running as well. I'm not surprised it puts out some heat. Pure physics says it has to.

Re: Overheating

Its defnitely the radios. I can use the phone with TF3D on and the phone gets slightly warm over time. I can play games, type documents up, browse pictures, and its comfortable to use. The second i fire up any radio using program like Opera, RSS Reader, the phone, or fire off email or texts, it starts to get hot and quick.

Actually, the tech i spoke with on the phone suggested you not plug it in to a charger while talking on it, as the extra heat could cause it or the battery to explode.

wow thats pretty rediculous..looks like thats another reason to get a free upgrade to the pro..since its bigger maybe it'll be able to dissipate heat a bit better and run cooler =)

but im pretty sure they wouldnt put a phone on the market that might expload if you use it while its charging..id be surprised if any tech told you that lol

Re: Overheating

Hmmmm... I have to retrace the steps to what I did but I got frustrated yesterday and just went into my options and clicked on what I figured would make this thing hot. I didn't exactly turn off the tf3d but I unchecked alot of the options that are part of it, turned off the beam, and my phone does run alot cooler. I can actually text for a long period of time without it overheating on me AND I can browse the web with it only getting partially warm. Talking on the phone is alot easier as well. Like I said, I need to go back and retrace my steps as to what I did lol. As for the battery length... eh, thats another story.
