This should work..
SInce activesync comes configured for Advanced network functionality, you need to disable this. Go into Settings/Connections/USB To PC. Uncheck Advanced network functionality. Plug in your Phone to your PC and then activesync should start up if it's installed. Also for the connect as disk drive or connect as device. Check the option to Ask you eveytime it connects. Sometimes you may want to jsut connect as a drive and sometimes not. Do the network check thing and you should be good. |

Most of the time when this happens (and what works for me) is to delete the mobile device from active sync then reestablish the connection.
Remove your phone from USB. Pull up Active Sync Go to File>>Delete Mobile Device DO NOT DELETE YOUR MOBILE DEVICE FOLDER OR ALL YOUR INFO WILL BE LOST Just delete the connection SAY NO TO DELETING YOUR FOLDER. Reconnect USB to Phone Reenter settings and you should sync |
