Can the black camera shroud be removed from the Burgundy back?

Fair question. It might not, since the GSM version might not be the exact same size.

I would think the aftermarket covers for an extended batter will work- as long as they are made for the Sprint/CMDA model.

Anyone know if the CMDA and GSM versions are the same size?

The GSM and CDMA versions will likely not be compatible with each other. On the CDMA version, its not just the bigger battery that fills the back; the whole chassis is thicker. So no trimming any corners or anything. Also, if you see the two phones side by side from the front, you'll see that one has a curved top and bottom, and one is straight. So it just seems no go.

Yes it can, I already removed mine. I started by getting nail polish remover into the cracks, to loosen up the glue. After that just use some force to get it off and clean up the mess left behind from the glue. I like it better without (TELUS) in my face

Let me see if I understand: the black part (that says "3.2 megapixels") just sticks on to the burgundy part?
