I actually found a cool feature that if you press the call end button twice it disconnects you from the internet if your in the manilla interface. ALOT better then trying to click the network icon then the disconnect button. I love it!

u can also set long end key press under settings to disconnect data

Could those registry changes be the reason for no GPS info in the photos or anyone have any advice?

Another question, in the GPS Photo options it has the option "Grace Period" with the options being "None," "5 Minutes," "10 Minutes" & "30 Minutes." I'm guessing that has something to do with how long it keeps the GPS active so it doesn't have to re-initialize it or?

I don't know the actual reg edit, but you can just do this with advanced config.
