Capacitive.

And yeah, way faster than the Vogue.

The screen is also not squishy like my Vogues was.

Addition. You will love the screen. The Vogue is not even fair to compare to, its not even close.

Re: Diamond Reviews

wow, thanks for your great reviews and critiques everyone! i am a current mogul user and do a ton of texting, but it seems like a lot of users are not regretting losing the QWERTY keyboard. hopefully i should be getting mine this week and will be within my 30 day window for a Touch Pro so we'll see.

i really like the form factor of the diamond and im hoping 4gb of storage will be enough for me since i already have an ipod.

I also was a mogul user and i have had the diamond for two days now, and i must say i like it. The screen is amazing, and i dont mind not having the keyboard. it is a bit of a pain when the on screen keyboard blocks what you are typing, and if that can be fixed then this phone is the best. I too am going to be within 30 day exchange and might switch to pro, but so far i love the fact that i forget that my phone is in my pocket. No longer to people ask "is that a mogul in your pocket or you glad to see me"

Re: Diamond Reviews

I have the sprint diamond...
So far I've had to add a few programs to make it do what it do out of the box.
But still completely happy with it.
I think the volume is to low on highest setting..
I think the ringer could be louder...
You cant lock folders or albums from getting deleted or from prying eyes..
Just a few things....and I wish you can keep the dialer lit while you talk and not go out..

Anyone with any fixes to any of these would be appreciated..

Thanks

Re: Diamond Reviews

my diamond has been pretty cool. Other than running out of batteries in 4 hrs and when I want to say a street command for gps it calls a random number instead of prompting me to say a street address.

Personally I'm switching to the Pro. I simply can't do without a physical QWERTY... although I thought I could. I'm coming from an 800w, which is hard to beat short of the battery life.

One question that I have... with the Vogue, you could have things on the today screen (WeatherPanel) show up under the HTC Home Plugin. That doesn't seem to be the case with the Diamond/Pro. Can anyone tell me if there is a work around for this? I checked the Today plugins, and it seems that when you turn on TouchFLO 3D, it automatically unchecks everything else.

Can't wait for the Pro! If you are already used to touch keyboards, you will love the Diamond. Very impressive device.

this will help typing on a screen IMMENSELY. copy the skin and layout to the program files directory. then go to settings and choose them. i would also of course recommend doing the screen sensitivity regs as those are handy for typing

Re: Diamond Reviews

I could write a whole page about the things I like and don't like, but I'll keep it short. Impressed by the VGA screen, not impressed by the memory configuration. I thought I'd be satisfied for a while like I was with my Mogul, but I'm already wanting a HD.
